Kenneth C. Glass, age 69, of Erie, PA passed away Wednesday December 20, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born in Erie on February 19, 1948, a son of the late Oliver and Violet Glass.
He was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving our country during the Vietnam War. Ken was then a
millwright and crane operator for many years at Erie Forge and Steel.
Ken was a member of American Legion Post #773.
He was a great husband, dad, and grandfather who loved having fun, and enjoyed spending time sharing his hobbies and interests of hunting, fishing, and CB radios. He particularly loved cruising around in his 1956 hot rod Chevy with his wife Rose. Additionally, he loved attending car shows.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Donald Witt, Clifford Witt, and James Glass.
He is survived by his loving wife Rose (Civitello) Glass of 50 years, this coming May; daughter Tina Schultz (Steve), of Erie, son Robert Glass (wife Megan) of CT, and son Tony Glass (his fiancée Jennifer), of Erie, and eight grandchildren including Brett, Derrick, Ryan, Kira, Larissa, Robert Jr., Nathan and Brooklynn. Ken also has two sisters Judith Butcher and Sharon Glass, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home 602 W. 10th Street at Cherry Street, Wednesday, December 27th from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday December 28th at 11 am followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post #773, 4109 West 12th St. Erie PA 16505.
