Kenneth Cleaver

Kenneth J. Cleaver, age 64, of Erie, died Wednesday, November 26, 2013 at his residence. He was born February 24, 1949 in Erie, a son of the late James R. and Lois Swanson Cleaver.

Kenny attended Strong Vincent High School and left to join the Navy during the Vietnam Era, joining his two brothers already serving. Kenny and Bob both sailed on the same ship, USS Massey, during this time.

Upon his return from the service, he held various jobs including working with his father doing handyman repairs, or babysitting for many family members and friends. In addition to enjoying kids, he loved all animals.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey. Survivors include his brother Robert Cleaver and his wife Bonnie, of Erie; his sister Carolyn Gray and her husband Micky of Fordyce, Ark.; and seven nieces and nephews: Caile Lambing, Wendy Cleaver, Danielle Bolash, Donald Cleaver, Michael Gray, David Gray, and Andrew Cleaver. He is further survived by many grandnieces and nephews.
