Kenneth Campbell, Jr.

Kenneth Campbell, Jr., age 93, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, August 3^rd, 2023 at Manchester Commons. 

He was born on November 11, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA son of the late Kenneth and Marjorie Hayes Campbell. 

He was a graduate of Columbia High School and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA in 1951.  He served in the United States Army from 1955-1957.

His employment at General Electric in Erie and Syracuse, NY for 34 years led to his retirement in 1985. He held professional engineering licenses in Indiana, New York and Pennsylvania.

He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity in at the University of Washington and was the recipient of the General Electric Patent Award.  He loved to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and parts of Europe as well.  Home projects and golf  were among  his favorite past times.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Richardson and son-in-law, Philip Proctor.

Survivors include his wife Audrey, three daughters Karen (Andrew) Muza of Fairview, PA; Wendy Proctor of Fairview, PA and Pamela (John) Skrzypczak of Erie, PA. Four grandsons Adam (Nicole) and Russell (Brittney) Skrzypczak; Stephen and Peter (Emily) Muza and two great-grandchildren further survive.

Inurnment in Whispering Pines Crematory Gardens.

Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, charity gifts may be made to Interim HealthCare Hospice of Erie, PA, 2633 West 8^th Street, Erie, PA 16505.

The family wanted to especially thank Kat, Jessica and April from Interim HealthCare Hospice of Erie, for the care they provided to Kenneth.
