Kendall Robert (Rob) Morrison

Kendall Robert (Rob) Morrison, age 73, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital, with his wife by his side.

Born on April 28, 1951, in Warren, PA, Rob was a beloved son of the late Kendall Robert, Sr. and Clare (Allen) Morrison.

Rob graduated from Warren Area High School in 1969 before embarking on a career as an Assembler at General Electric for 36 years. He retired in 2009. Throughout his life, he found joy in dirt track racing, being a valued member of various race teams, including Dick Litz's (29) and Dan Armbruster's (61) Race Teams, and go-kart racing.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Rob had a passion for collecting American Flyer model trains. He was known in his neighborhood as the "King of the Grill," showcasing his talent for barbecuing with friends and family. A lover of sports, Rob enjoyed playing softball, hockey, and spent countless hours cheering on his favorite teams, the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cleveland Browns. He enjoyed spending time in the garage playing baseball board games with special friends. An avid animal lover, Rob cherished his cats Millie, Augie, Ernie, and Sophie, never forgetting the cats he had throughout his life. 

In addition to his parents, Rob is preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph Limber; and sister-in-law Sally Morrison.

Rob leaves behind his wife, Nancy McHenry Morrison; brothers, John (Marie) Morrison, James (Ruth) Morrison, and Timothy (Susan) Morrison; sister in law, Sara "Sally" (John) Limber; nephews, Neil and Morgan Morrison, and niece, Michelle (Sean) Conway. He is further survived by several great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave.), Erie on Monday, June 10th from 4 until 7 pm.
