Kelly Mccaslin

Kelly Kristine Swanson McCaslin, age 53, of Millcreek Twp. passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at UPMC Hamot after suffering an accident while at home. She was born on July 28, 1968 in Erie, Pa. the daughter of the late David J Swanson and Margaret Depew Swanson McCarthy. Kelly graduated from McDowell High School and then attended Gannon University and Geneva College. Kelly worked in sales and marketing throughout much of her professional career having been employed with the Bel- Aire Hotel, Holiday Retirement Villages, and Mold Making Technologies Publication. Kelly enjoyed the Erie summers, spending time working on her garden and flowers, as well as beach time at Presque Isle.

Kelly is survived by her mother Margaret McCarthy and her stepfather John McCarthy; son Connor John McCaslin; her former husband, Kevin P. McCaslin; brother Scott Swanson, and aunt Priscilla Depew Stephens. Kelly was an aunt to Christopher Pearson, Sara McGovern (Kevin), Alex Pearson, Daniel McCaslin, Philip Weidner, Megan Weidner, Kimberly Swanson and Robert Swanson.

Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 134 West 7^th St. from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Services at 12:30 PM with the Rev. Dr. John Downey officiating. Burial will be private.

Masks are strongly encouraged. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
