Keith B. O’Baker, age 58, of Fairview and Stuart, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Monday February 13, 2017 at his residence in Florida.
He was born in Erie, on June 29, 1958, a son of the late William L. Sr. and Margaret Perry O’Baker.
Keith graduated from Fairview High School. He was the founder/owner/operator West County Auto and West County Towing in Fairview, Keith was a hard working person, he gave a lot to the community he grew up and lived in . He helped many people with his towing business for years. He also developed and built the large plaza where West County Auto and the West County Storage facility is today. He was the developer of Honey Tree Hollow Apartments and he and his wife founded the Amish Buggy furniture store, which started in Fairview and later moved to upper Peach St.
He loved fishing and spending time at his winter home in Florida. His grandchildren meant the world to him and enjoyed every minute with them.
Keith is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pamela Smith O’Baker; a son, Jacob O’Baker (Erica DeWolf) of Fairview; two grandchildren: Colin and Ariana O’Baker; and two brothers Bradford O’Baker and William L. O’Baker, Jr. and his wife, Shirley, all of Millcreek. He is further survived by his mother and father in law, Bert and Judy Smith; a brother in law, Dave Smith and sister in law Cindy Repoff and her husband Sam. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Friday from 2- 4 and 5:30-8 p.m and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 a.m with Rev. Chuck Cammarata officiating.
Burial will be at Sterrettania Cemetery.
