Keith Eugene Carlson

Keith Eugene Carlson, age 85, of Erie, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at his residence. 

Keith was born in Erie, June 12,1939, to the late John and Caroline (Nicholas) Carlson. In addition to his parents, Keith is preceded in death by his brother, Bob Carlson, and his brother-in-law Jack Kirts 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annette Carlson, by his sons Paul Carlson (Kim), Tim Carlson (Jennifer), Scott Carlson (Hope), and Terry Carlson (Stefanie). Keith is further survived by his grandchildren Kai, Logan, Mia, Kindra, and Mikaela; by his sister Donna Kirts, a brother-in-law Ray Crolli (Mary) and many nieces and nephews. 

Keith served honorably in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. He was stationed in Metz France, for much of his service career, which allowed Keith and Annette to travel throughout much of southern Europe.

Following his military service. Keith and his father John founded Carlson's Industrial Grinding, Inc., in 1968. The business continues to thrive under direction of his son Terry who has owned and operated the enterprise since Keith's retirement in 2001. 

A true jack-of-all-trades, Keith was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and he enjoyed golf and woodworking.
