Kaye Cofini

Kaye L. Cofini, age 73, passed away on July 11, 2015 at her residence.

She was born July 28, 1941 in Erie and had also lived in the San Francisco, CA area for many years before returning to Erie later in life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nord A. and Mary Emma Cofini and her sister Ann S. Cofini.

She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and she attended college in Lima, Ohio and Villa Maria College in Erie.

Kaye was the Director of Education for the Rivendell School in the San Francisco area from 1980 to 1995. Later in her years in Erie she was a volunteer in the Blasco Library gift shop.

Kaye is survived by her son Colin Cofini Hutton and his partner Gwen Sanderson of San Francisco; her sister Jessie Rathbun and her partner, Daniel Amendola, of Erie; her brother, Nord A. Cofini and his wife Sandra Peruzzi, of Wilmington, NC; a niece Chesa Cofini Martin, and daughters Lily and Zuri of Wilmington, NC, and a nephew, Ari Cofini and his wife Aimee, and daughters Chesa and Amelita of Raleigh, NC. She is further survived by her Aunt Evelyn DiCara of Erie and many cousins.

Friends are invited to a memorial gathering at the Erie Maennerchor Club, 1607 State Street, Erie on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Burial will be private.
