Kathy A. Rekitt

Kathy A. (Woods) Rekitt, age 66, of Erie passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Fairview Manor. She was born July 8, 1956 in Erie, the daughter of the late Eleanor and John Woods. A lifelong resident of the Erie area, Kathy had worked as a custodian for the Erie Police Department for 10 years and later in various positions at the Erie Zoo. 

Kathy loved to cook, shop, and spend time with her grandchildren. When she wasn’t teaching you to cook, she was teaching you how to clean-up. Kathy loved a good scary movie and had a sarcastic sense of humor. The life of any party, she could make everyone feel loved and to enjoy a laugh.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Woods.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Nicole Jasper and her husband Jonathan of Waterford, PA and Katherine Vera and her husband Jose of Fairview, PA.; a son Sean Sheehan of Erie and a sister, Deborah Habjanetz and her husband Joe of Oak Point, TX. She was the proud grandmother of Lily, Cam, Troy, Gabe, Sam, Antonio, Jose, Jadealisa, Jaylynn, Jeremiah, and Jacob.

Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W.26^th St. on Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery   5711 W. Lake Road, Erie, Pa 16505.
