On the evening of July 20, 2015 at 5:50 PM, Kathy Ann Oatis answered the call of the Lord.
Kathy Ann Oatis, age 59 of Erie, PA, transitioned this life surrounded by family on July 20, 2015.
She was born in Prentiss, MS on November 1, 1955, the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Marie Lee who resides in Erie, PA.
Kathy graduated from Strong Vincent High School, and raised four children, all while being employed by Hamot Hospital for 26 years.
Kathy was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was free spirited and full of life. She was outspoken, loving, humble, giving, caring and dedicated to her family.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband James Pacley, Sr.
Kathy is survived by one daughter, LaShone Pacley-Sanders (Marvin), three sons: James Lamont Pacley (Felicia), Quentin Terrell Pacley, and Marvin Dupree Moore (Jasmine), all of Erie. Siblings include four sisters: Evelyn Carr of Erie, Tracy Moffett (Rudy) of California, Yvette Lee of Erie, Yvonne Lee-Gamble (Larry) of Erie; three brothers: Milton Oatis, Patrick Lee, and Dean Oatis all of Erie; 13 grandchildren: Tyteouna, James, Deontae, RJ, Stephon, Christopher, Josh, Tiffany, Autumn, Darnell, Mekayla, Alicia, Quentin; eight great grandchildren, all of Erie, and four special friends: Matthew Crosby (Fiance), Celia Tolbert, Denise Watson and Joan Ponder, aunts, uncle and cousins also survive.
Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited to the funeral service on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 901 East 5th Street with Pastor Anthony G. Harris officiating.
Burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
