Kathryn Ann (Eberlein) McKenrick, 71, of Edinboro died March 21,2017 in Frostproof, FL as a result of an automobile accident. She was born September 25, 1945 in Erie the daughter of the late William (John) and Margaret (Prizinsky) Eberlein.
Kathryn was a 1963 graduate of Tech Memorial High School and was employed for 40 years at First National Bank and later PNC Bank until her retirement in 2006 as a Client Service Representative. She was an expert hand quilter and teacher of quilting, loved movies and television, and enjoyed socializing with her friends and family. She was a fun-loving social organizer who brought family and friends together on a regular basis. Some of her best memories were made the past few years while spending the winter months with her husband in Sebring, FL. Kathy was a devout Catholic and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
Besides her parents, her beloved son, Steven M. McKenrick also died as a result of the same accident. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Gary King II; a niece Katy Anke, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Eberlein.
Kathryn is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, James McKenrick; her two children, Janice McKenrick Servick (Chester, Jr.) of Maumee, OH and James McKenrick of Edinboro, PA. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Heidi Ziesenheim McKenrick of Lake City, PA along with seven grandchildren; Jessica Servick Napier (Alex), Brooke Servick, Alexia Servick, Michael McKenrick, James McKenrick, Jr., Nathan McKenrick and Karly McKenrick. She is the sister of John Eberlein, Thomas Eberlein (Lucille), Sally Kolbas (Michael), William Eberlein (Barbara), Joan Peterson (Deacon Jerry), and Diane Anke (Jack). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Saturday from 1:00PM until 5:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, McKean, followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help defray medical and funeral expenses.
