Kathleen Nelson

Kathleen “Kay” D. Nelson age 73, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at her residence.

She was born in Sugar Grove, Pa on October 21, 1939, the daughter of the late Leasson and Vernitta McTavish McCool.

Kay graduated from Corry High School.

She worked for the Millcreek Township School District as a bus driver for 15 years.

Kay was a member of the American Legion Post 773 and the Women’s Auxiliary.

She was an avid hunter, very good cook, and enjoyed gardening. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William Nelson; four daughters, Robin Mysnyk (Jeff Allen), Barbara Trigillio (Darrel Ace), Sherry King (Steven) and Kimberly Nelson; a brother, Leasson McCool; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
