Kathleen (Kathy) Hatheway, age 71, of Erie passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Salem, Ohio. She was born August 22, 1949 in Erie the daughter of the late Rene D. and Martha (Patty) Kirkland Hatheway.
Kathy attended Wattsburg High School and graduated from Gannon University. For many years, she worked as a caseworker for the State of PA Department of Public Welfare until her retirement.
Kathy was a lifelong member of the Lennon Sisters Fan club and enjoyed travelling to Branson, MO to see them perform. Besides enjoying traveling the country, Kathy also loved the times spent at the family cabin in the Poconos. She was also into genealogy and was the caretaker of the Hatheway family history. Kathy attended St. Andrew Catholic church and was an avid Erie hockey fan
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Christopher Hatheway.
Kathy is survived by a sister, Mary Hatheway of Newtown, PA and two brothers; David Hatheway of Lillian, AL. and Rene Hatheway and his wife Flo of Saxonburg, PA. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 12 noon until 3:00 PM at which time Funeral Services will be held. Burial will be private. All CDC guidelines including face masks and social distancing will be in effect.
