Kathleen Devita

Kathleen Kinstler DeVita, age 67, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her residence.

She was born in Erie on June 19, 1951, a daughter of the late Ralph and Retha Kinstler.

Kathy graduated from McDowell High School in 1969.  Along with being a homemaker, she worked at Westlake Woods as a caregiver and a cook.

She enjoyed fishing and crafting.  Kathy was a loving mother and wife.  “Nina” loved to spoil her grandchildren

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mother, Jean Seelinger Kinstler; a sister, Brenda Vaughn; and a brother, David Kinstler.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph D. DeVita; her son, Joseph D. DeVita, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Fairview; three grandchildren, Noah Rodrigues, Bailey and Jacob DeVita.  She is further survived by 2 sisters, Cindy Heidt of Palmyra, NY and Joanie Kinstler of Rockledge, FL; and 2 brothers, Ralph Kinstler of Merritt Island, FL and William Kinstler of Daytona Beach, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard on Monday from 4-7 pm and are invited there for a funeral service on Tuesday at 11 am.
