Katherine P. “Kay” Warzagier, age 82 of Erie, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015.
She was born in Erie on November 24, 1932, a daughter of the late Martin and Katie Simon Pavlov.
Katherine graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1950, and graduated from Mercyhurst College.
She was a supervisor for GTE Directories for 37 years, and retired in 1991.
Katherine was a member of Holy Trinity Church of Russian Old Believers, The Christian Women’s Association, the Red Hat Society, GTE Retirees, and the Siebenbuerger Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Abraham, and her sister Lucreta Rubin.
Survivors include her daughters Renee Brown (Frank) of Erie, Barbara Gurwell of Canada, and Paula Best of Erie; granddaughters Brittany Holihan of Boardman, OH, and Shannon Holihan of Erie; Stacy Klan (Tom) of Erie and Nicole Markley and A.L. Best of Erie and a brother Paul Pavlov and his wife Sally of Sandy Lake, PA. Several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service there on Monday at 10 a.m. with Reverend Larry Evanoff officiating.
Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
