Katharine A. Pazder

Katharine A. Wahlers Pazder, age 87, of Millcreek Township, passed away on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, surrounded by her three loving children.

Born in Fremont, OH on December 15, 1936 she was a twin daughter of the late Roland and Gladys Lynch Wahlers.

A graduate of Bowling Green State College, she received her B.S. degree in Education.

She was a High School teacher in Huron, OH, where she taught business, and was the bookkeeper and office manager for the Green Shingle.

She was a longtime member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church; she taught Bible Study at Independence Court, Fairview Manor, and Manchester Presbyterian Lodge; and she was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Pazder, in 2020, as well as her twin sister, Mary Roe, niece, Elizabeth Roe, and nephew, Timothy Wahlers. 

She is survived by two daughters, MaryKaye Pazder, of Erie and Annie Pazder, of Kansas City, MO; a son, J. Andrew Pazder, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; three beautiful grandchildren, Michael Pazder (wife, Sabine), Katharine Alexander (husband, Lance), and Kristen Pazder; two great grandchildren, Charlotte Alexander and Colin Pazder; and a brother Roland Wahlers, of Port Clinton, OH. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and many, many cherished friends.

Friends may call on the family on Saturday, August 3rd at St. Stephens Episcopal Church from 9:30 AM until the time of memorial service there at 11:00 AM with Reverend Downey officiating.

Inurnment will be in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church 1070 Dutch Road Fairview, PA 16415.
