Karl Poland

Karl F. Poland, age 81, passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

He was born on December 15, 1939, in Rochester, NY, a son to William and Marjorie Dettré Poland.

After graduation, Karl attended the University of Miami and Ohio State University. For 27 years, Karl worked with his beloved clients at the Gertude Barber Center. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Rosary Church. Karl enjoyed his sports (especially the #1 Cleveland Browns) and was known for his sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Karl is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Markley Poland; his daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Spada (Nick); two half-brothers, Patrick Poland, of FL and John Poland, of MO; his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may attend a memorial mass at Holy Rosary Church, 2701 East Ave, at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 5, 2021 with Fr. John Jacquel officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc Downtown, 602 W 10^th St, Erie PA 16502.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blasco Library, 160 E Front St, Erie, PA 16507.
