Karen Walk

Karen Lee Walk age 71, of Millcreek, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Erie on April 22, 1951 a daughter of the late Kimmell and Elizabeth Schunk Barbour.

Karen graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1969 and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Edinboro University in 1996.

She was a longtime member of Glenwood United Methodist church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was an active volunteer. Karen also enjoyed gardening in her yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband.

She is survived by her husband, David Walk; daughter, Lori Knittle (Harry) of Pottstown, PA; son, Matthew Atchley (Susan) of Harborcreek, PA; and her grandchildren, Lindsay, Layla, Tyler, Alana and Ava. She is further survived by her brother, Kevin Barbour, and his wife Debbie, of Erie.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and are invited to call on the family Tuesday, January 10, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2931 Myrtle Street, Erie.

Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
