Karen Waldo

Karen J. Waldo, age 66, of Fairview, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at UPMC Hamot, after a month long battle with cancer.

She was born in Pittsburgh on May 3, 1954 a daughter of the late Robert A. and Alma P. Campbell Wilmer, Jr.

Karen graduated from Fairview High School and obtained her teaching degree from Mercyhurst College.

She enjoyed knitting, gardening, walks, and most of all, being with her children and grandchildren.

Karen had many friends and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wilmer III; a daughter, Karianne Waldo Kimmy and a son, Richard R. Waldo.

Karen is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Black and Courtney Waldo; and two sisters, Maureen Koch and Kathy Daniels. She is further survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
