Justin Allen Wiley

Justin Allen Wiley, age 22, transitioned from this life on Thursday, July 2, 2015.  He was born in Erie on September 9, 1992.  He is the talented, loving son of Shelby Allen Wiley and Amy Cahill.

Justin attended Cathedral Prep for four years and graduated from Strong Vincent High School.  While at Cathedral Prep he played Rambler football #21.  He earned the following stats: As a running back/defensive back he scored 210 total points with 35 touchdowns and 19 points per game.  Rushing he had 138 carries, 122 yards per game with a total of 1,344 yards; 93 yards was his longest touchdown run, with 28 total rushes. Passing – he had 21 receptions, 495 yards and 6 touchdowns. His Defensive record – 10 tackles, 13 assists, with 23 total tackles; Punt returns - he had 8 returns, 105 yards and 1 touchdown.  He was a phenomenal athlete and a wonderful son.

Not only was he an outstanding football player; but also a loving brother to his sister Bella and to his brother Shelby.  Justin loved his family.  Everything was better when he came around.  He could light up a room with his charming smile and witty sense of humor.  He spent hours talking, teaching, nurturing and caring for his siblings.  We will miss his presence, but know that he is in a better place.  God must have needed a running back for his football team in heaven.

After high school, Justin attended Miami of Ohio and Edinboro Universities. After being injured, he came home to spend more time with his family until the day he went home to be with the Father.

Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, R. Benjamin Wiley, his paternal great- grandmothers Clara Wiley and Jettie B. Knight.  His maternal great- grandparents, Howard & Louise Leone Jones, and Thomas & Ellen Cahill and his uncle Robert Benjamin Wiley, Jr.

He is survived by his loving parents Shelby Wiley and Amy Cahill; his beautiful loving daughter, Justice Wiley.
