June Rothwell

June Lucille Shearer Rothwell, age 92, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Fairview Manor.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on February 7, 1923, daughter of the late John and Margaret Miller Shearer.

June was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 63 years James Rothwell Jr.

June was a homemaker and volunteered with many organizations in Pittsburgh. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Pittsburgh for over 60 years. Her family and friends will always remember her for her generous and caring spirit.

Survivors include her daughter, Robyn Crago and her husband Stephen, of Erie, her son, James A. Rothwell of Portersville, PA; her grandchildren, Chelsey Crago Lowry and her husband Ben, of Columbus, OH and Carly Crago, of Erie; her sister in law Viola Vitanza of Naples, FL, and her dear friend David Neal of Pittsburgh.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m.with the Reverend John Coleman officiating.

Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Pittsburgh.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Erie City Mission 1023 French Street, Erie, PA 16501.
