Julius Moffett

Julius C. Moffett age 79, of Erie, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Village at Luther Square. He was born in Laurel, Miss. On November 24, 1937 a son of the late Reverend Samuel and Lucille McCullum Moffett. He worked in various capacities at Zurn Industries in Erie for many years. He enjoyed baseball (LA Dodgers), fishing and boxing. In addition to his parents and wife Estella Graves Moffett, he was preceded in death by two sons; Dwayne and Calvin Moffett along with a sister, Ruth Moffett and numerous cousins and uncles. Julius is survived by five children; a stepson, Marlow Weaver, Dewitt, Linda, Lane and Shirleen Moffett all of Erie along with six grandchildren; Latoya, Lashawnda, Lavonna, Michael, Deja and Kierra. Seven great grandchildren also survive; Manuel, Jaquayza, Jamear, Vareon, Dareon, Coreon and Lamont. He also leaves a brother Edward Moffett of Miss. and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were private under the care of Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth St., Erie, PA 16502.
