Julianne Mccarty

Julianne Kahle Fox McCarty, age 57, of Spartansburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born on June 12, 1958, a daughter of Richard and Shirley Kahle.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Juli was an active person. She enjoyed reading, decorating, sewing, and photography. Juli was her happiest in the outdoors. She loved hiking, camping, horseback riding, kayaking and gardening. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends, especially around a campfire.

Juli graduated from Corry High School. She lived and raised her family in the Spartansburg area. She was a lifeguard at Higby’s pool and in 1998 received her practical nursing license. Juli worked at Andromeda House for twelve years and also worked at Corry Manor and Millcreek Community Hospital. She lived and worked in Fayetteville Arkansas for almost two years prior to her illness. Juli simply loved Arkansas and the mountains.

Julianne was preceded in death by her husband, Mark E. McCarty and her grandparents, Richard and Marian Kahle.

Julianne is survived by her parents Richard and Shirley Kahle of Corry, Pa; her two sons, Kevin Fox of Union City, Pa and Kristopher “Kritter” Fox and wife Michelle of Spartansburg, Pa; her four grandchildren, Chris Fox and wife Mariana of Honolulu, Hawaii; Alyssa Fox of Union City, Pa; Owen Fox of Union City, Pa; Creleigh Fox of Spartansburg, Pa; and her three sisters, Vicki Craciun and husband William, Michelle Hammond and husband William, and Tricia Cross and husband Andrew all of Corry, Pa. Juli had many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel at 38191 Mount Pleasant Rd., Union City, PA 16438 on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at One O'clock in the afternoon.
