Judy Ann Gariepy, age 58, of Girard, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 22, 2016 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie on November 10, 1957, a daughter of the Charles Thomas Strange and the late Polly Strange.
Judy was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. Her family meant the world to her. She also liked watching wrestling and cooking shows.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Larry Gariepy; two sisters: Corie Mooney and Bertha Strange; two nieces: Sheila Strange and Natalie Appleton; and a grandson, Tyler James Martin.
Judy is survived by her five children: Melanie Strange, Tina Dore and her wife, Gretchen Sargent, Dorothy McGowen and her husband Leonard, Tanya Orr and her husband Edward Sr. all of Girard, Richard Smith and his girlfriend Kira Taylor of Albion; her father, Thomas; four brothers: Edward Strange and his wife, Cheryl of Girard, George Strange and his wife Theresa of Albion, James Strange and Thomas (JR) Strange both of Erie; four sisters: Mary Taylor and her husband, Roy, and Barbara Gordon, all of Girard, Emma Keith and her husband Ron of Linesville, Debbie Start and her husband Lewis of Sprinboro; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and one on the way. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard on Thursday from 11 am until the time of the service at 1pm.
