Judy Diehl

Judy L. Diehl, age 66, of Erie, died on Thursday October 15, 2015 at home. She was born on December 26, 1948 in East Springfield, PA , a daughter of the late Frederick and Wilma Theil Diehl.

Judy graduated from Northwestern High School and the Hamot School of Nursing. She was a proud RN eventually retiring from St. Vincent Hospital in 2014 after 20+ years. She was very active and enjoyed the monthly Birthday Club with the girls. She recently took up Bocce. A special thank you to Regional Hospice and especially Rene and Heather for their care.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Socher, her daughter Amy Straus, her brother James Diehl, and her step-father Curtis Belcher.

Judy is survived by her son Brian Socher of Erie, her sister Jean Swanson of Salem, VA, her nieces and nephews: Denise Maxwell, Leslie Jenkins, Dan Maxwell, all of Sarasota, FL and Tom Maxwell of Salem, VA, and many dear friends.

Friends may call on the family on Saturday from 10am - 12pm and 2 until the time of the service at 4pm. Her nephew Tom Maxwell will preside.
