Judith Simon

Judith Ann Simon age 74 of Erie, died peacefully at the Erie Soldiers and Sailors Home on March 7, 2015.

She was born in Erie, Pa. on August 13, 1940 a daughter of the late Heinz (Henry) and Elsie Roscher Schnurpfeil.

She was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy and Villa Maria College receiving a BS in Biology.

Judy worked with Saint Vincent Health Center as a Medical Lab Technician prior to being a homemaker.

She was devout Catholic and member of St. Mark’s Church in Lawrence Park. She enjoyed her grandchildren as well as shopping, cooking, traveling, crossword puzzles, and playing cards.

In addition to her husband of 49 years Alex, she is survived by her sister and best friend Heidi Stokes (Dennis); two sons, Michael C Simon (Wendy) of Erie, David A Simon (Ann) of Sarver, Pa; and five grandchildren: Andrew, Amanda, Nicholas, Julia, and Abigail. She is also survived by several nieces.

Friends are invited to call at Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie, Pa. 16510 on Wednesday March 11, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
