Judith Peterson

Judith A. Peterson, age 69, of Fairview, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at her residence after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Erie on September 19, 1946, a daughter of the late Andrew and Florence Salchak Zuber.

Judy graduated from Fairview High School in 1964 and Cosmetology School. She worked for many years as a hairdresser and then worked eighteen years for the Airport Republic Parking Authority.

She enjoyed flowers, gardening and baking pies. Judy’s family meant the world to her.

Judy is survived by her son, Eric Peterson and his wife, Dawn of Fairview; two sisters: Cynthia Bydlon and her husband Thomas of Harrisburg, and Debra Schuetz and her husband Thomas of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Andy Zuber of Fairview. She is further survived by six grandchildren: James, Cindy, Jessica, Rachel, Sarah and Leif Peterson; two great grandsons: Blake and Luke, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Saturday from 2-4 p.m.
