Judith A. Kupczyk Berarducci, age 73, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
She was born in Erie on January 19, 1940, a daughter of the late Chester J. and Frances Berarducci Kupczyk.
She was a 1957 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and attended Villa Maria College. She worked as a bookkeeper at Bonded Maintenance. In her retirement, she worked part time for Burton Funeral Homes and did a lot of babysitting. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Church.
Judy’s role in life was that of a mother and grandmother. Many will fondly remember her in the kitchen as she was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed teaching the kids how to bake “Nana cookies”. She was also generous spirit that she often shared on lunch dates.
She is survived by a son, Michael Chester Berarducci, M.D. and his wife Maureen of Arlington, Massachusetts, a daughter, Lesley Frazier and her husband, Joel of Ashtabula, Ohio, a sister, Elayne Iavarone and her husband Angelo of Erie and a brother, Chester R. Kupczyk and his wife Carrie of Liverpool, NY, three grandchildren, Ava and Luke Berarducci and Molly Raye Frazier, and many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by the kids she cared for like her own grandchildren Zachary and Tyler Pecorella and Julia and Jon Horstman.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue,) on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service there at 1 p.m. with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Snyderwine officiating. Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
