Judith Carmody

Judith A. (Young) Carmody of Wildwood, Florida passed away on October 1, 2023. She was born on August 5, 1945 to the late Kenneth and Agnes (Alward) Young.

Judy graduated from Fort LeBoeuf high school in 1963. She Worked at GTE and at the family co-owned business, Advanced Protection Services.

She lived in the Fairview/Girard PA area most of her life and moved to Florida to live full time in 2019.

Judy loved entertaining and always had room for one more at every holiday table. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, and her sisters. She was also an avid card player and loved to shop! 

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, John Carmody.

Judy is survived by 3 sons: Jerry A. Carmody (Penny) of Webster, FL, Jack F. Carmody (Don Pratt) of Davenport, FL and Joel L. Carmody (Caitlin) of Mt. Hood Parkdale, OR; 4 sisters: Charity Dedrick (Jack), Kathleen Delio (Frank), Charlene Sauers and Lorie Hansen (Fred Wegemer). She is further survived by 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be hosting a Reception of Friends at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie, PA on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM to be officiated by Rev. Ed Huntley.
