Juanita Arrington

Juanita Arrington, 76, of Erie, PA, went on to her Heavenly home on Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was the youngest daughter born to the late Peter C. and Emma (Williams) Boose on June 24, 1946, in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. 

Juanita was a very light-hearted, humorous, and strong-willed woman, who was a devoted wife to her husband and sweet mother to her children. She was a faithful member of the Morning Star Baptist Church since 1975, serving under the Pastorship of Rev. Amos Goodwine, Sr., Pastor Emeritus and currently led by Rev. Duane F. Hunter.  She graciously served as a Willing Worker and Sunday School Teacher.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Clay Rascoe; two brothers, Willie and Sylvester Boose; and two sisters, Essie Mae King and Betty Tubwell.

She leaves to cherish her in memory, her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, Willie B. Arrington, of Erie, PA; four children, Lynette Mitchell (Cameron), of Erie, PA, Retina Rascoe, of Milwaukee, WI, Eric Rascoe, of San Antonio, TX, and Jennifer (Wille) Scott, of Macedonia, OH; six grandchildren, Jasmine Dickerson, of Maple Heights, OH, Janae Scott, of Shaker Heights, OH, Eric Donyell Rascoe, II, of San Angelo, TX, Deja Rascoe, of McKinney, TX, Alexis Scott, of Macedonia, OH and Marcellus Mitchell, of Erie, PA; two great-grandsons, Xavier and Jeremiah Black, of Maple Heights, OH; three sisters, Christine Woodard and Fleeda Farror, both of Rolling Fork, Mississippi, and Rosetta Marks, of Huntsville, AL; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at Morning Star Baptist Church, 327 E 23rd St, Erie, PA on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 10 AM until the time of a home going service at 12 Noon, with Rev. Duane F. Hunter, eulogizing. Interment will be at Erie Cemetery.
