Joyce Woodley

Joyce M. Woodley, age 84, of Erie, passed away Thursday September 9, 2021 at Manchester Commons.

She was born October 11, 1936 in Erie, daughter of the late George and Marian Elizabeth Cole Hilbert.

She Graduated from Strong Vincent High School, class of 1954.

She spent her time as a Domestic Engineer.

She was a long time member of AsburyUnitedMethodistChurch. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with the girls. She took pride in raising her family, working with ceramics, artwork, sewing, and photography.

 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C.  Woodley; a brother George James Hilbert; a sister Marian DeWolf; half-sister Carol Danowski; a step daughter Cindi L. Way; a Son Darryl Hunt; and a daughter in law, Amy Hunt.

Survivors include her four children: Chris A. Hunt; of Summit; Daniel A. Hunt, Scott E. Hunt and his wife Lynn all of Erie, and Ginger Lee Hall and her husband Michael of Millcreek; four step-children, Joyce O. McLaughlin of Edinboro, Millie A. Chodrow and her husband Todd of CA, Thomas C. Woodley Jr. and his wife Margie of MI, and Bryan J. Woodley and his wife Sandi of Lake city; and  three half sisters: Judy Norris and her husband Ken, Shirley Norris and her husband Charles, and Linda Snyder all of Erie; and a her children’s step sister, Kelly Kerr; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at  Burton Quinn Scott at West Ridge , 3801 W 26^th Street, Friday, from 4 to 7pm and are invited to attend a service at Asbury United Methodist Church Saturday, at 11 am with Reverend William Hastings.  Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made to The Hillman Cancer Center 2500 W 12^th Street Erie, PA 16505.
