Joyce Shaffer

Joyce Elaine Shaffer, age 61, of Erie, passed away on March 30, 2014 at UPMC Hamot.

Born on January 26, 1953, in Chautauqua, NY she was the daughter of the late Fenton and Violet Hill Post.

She enjoyed writing and photography.

Survivors include sister, Louise Armagost and husband Lawrence of Lake City; daughter, Valerie Haag and husband Richard of Erie; son David Shaffer and girlfriend Diane. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Chad and Christopher Haag of Erie; and 2 great grandchildren, Ava and Skylar Haag of Erie. She is also survived by 5 nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Monday, April 14th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Union City, PA.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
