Joyce Ragland

Joyce Ragland, age 81, of Erie, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at UPMC Hamot, after a brief illness.  She was born in Lancaster, OH on March 17, 1936, a daughter of the late Leroy and Mildred Freeman Salee, and lived for many years in Sandusky, OH.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her companion of 30 years, John Norton, her grandmother, Irene Sallee, her brother, Charles Sallee and her granddaughter, Angela Curtis. 

She is survived by her son, David (Arnetta) Ragland; daughters, Noreen Delany and Darlene Henderson; sisters, Donna Sallee and Nancy Conner; brothers, Victor (Deborah) Sallee, Roderick Sallee and Tony Sallee; grandchildren, Victor (Debra) Jeter, Curtis Jeter, Antoinette Ratcliff, Tony Ratcliff, Joyce (Brian) Bloodsworth, David Ragland, Maurice Ragland and a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. 

A memorial in Joyce’s honor will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W. 10^th St. Erie.
