Joyce Mcintire

Joyce Ann “Brooks” McIntire age 89, of Erie, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Connellsville, PA on March 14, 1932 a daughter of the late Florence A. Brooks.

Joyce graduated from Northwestern High School.

She loved to work in her garden, singing and spending time with her pets. She enjoyed watching and playing sports and especially loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. McIntire, Sr. who she married on July 30, 1950 and a son, Jack L. McIntire, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Judith L. Marklow (Donald) whom she resided with, James A. McIntire (SoHee) and Jon A. McIntire (Jason Hvasta) ; nine grandchildren, Jaime, Kimberly, Kristen, Renee, Jack and Joseph McIntire and Dustin, Brett and Kaitlyn Marklow; nine great grandchildren, James Donnell, Dominique, Marcus, Emma and Alexis McIntire, Cohen and Chase Millspaw and Benjamin McIntire; daughter on law, Rhoda McIntire and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Heather and Deszirray for their exceptional care and support.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506 on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend services there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
