Josephine Bober Moses Dunst, age 92, of Millcreek, passed away Sunday June 30,2013 at Saint Vincent Health Center, following a short illness.
Born in Buffalo, NY July 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Osiel Bober. On April 24, 1976, in Erie, she married Lawrence W. Dunst, Jr. who passed away in 2005. They were married for 29 years.
Josephine was a graduate of Oil City High School. She was employed by Country Fair and also Detisch Bakery in Erie. Most of the time she loved being a mother and being at home with her family. Josephine was a member of St. Julia Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Moses, her first husband, Edward A. Moses in 1967, and three sisters, Helen MacFarlane and Sophie Dluzneski, and Victoria Jarosz.
Surviving is a daughter-in-law Ann Marie Moses, a step-daughter, Mary Ann “Mitzi” Sutton of North Carolina and a step-son, Lawrence W. Dunst III and his wife, Joan, Atlanta, GA; and a granddaughter Kelly Ann Dunst Caruso and her husband David of Ohio. Two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews along with many special friends also survive.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) Erie, on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Julia Catholic Church, 638 Roslyn Ave. Erie Pa 16505 with Monsignor Bruce Allison officiating. A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Oil City, PA on Friday at 3:00 pm.
