Joseph R. "Joe Pep" Peplinski

Joseph R. Peplinski “Joe Pep” age 90, of Millcreek, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his residence.

Joe was born in Erie on November 25, 1932 a son of the late Marie and Herman Peplinski.

He graduated from Cathedral Prep where he played football and basketball. Joe also officiated PIAA basketball for many years as well as participating in fast and slow pitch softball in the City Rec League.

Joe was an avid golfer and was well known for his special recipe for ham and scalloped potatoes which were enjoyed by many.

Joe was employed for 44 years with the Hammermill Paper Company. Joe also proudly served our country in the US ARMY involved with the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Grace Marie Reitinger and his sisters, Delores Leone and Margaret Drinkwater.

Joe is survived by his wife Dottie; children, Tamara Seidler, Ann Bridger (Scott) all of Erie, and Joseph C. Peplinski of S.C. He is further survived by two grandchildren, Chad Seidler and Kyle Bridger; his sister Viola Bernatowicz and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held private at the convenience of the family by the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
