Joseph F. Krupinski, age 70, of Girard, passed away November 30, 2018 at home after several years suffering from severe COPD.
Born in Erie, PA, on October 3, 1948, son of the late John J. and Rose P. (Borowski) Krupinski.
Joe graduated Ft. LeBeouf High School in 1966. He produced a DVD for their recent 50 year class reunion.
Joe spent most of his life working in the electrical distribution industry primarily for GEXPRO (GE Supply) and Rexel retiring in 2013 after 42 years as Branch Operations Manager with the Erie, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo branches.
In addition to his work life, he spent enjoyable times with youth sports serving as treasurer of Northwestern Wrestling Boosters Club, coaching Little League Baseball and 15 years as coach, treasurer, and president of the Northwestern Little Gridders Football Association. He also spent much time restoring the family home, enjoying music, and playing guitar.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his cousin 1LT Raymond J. Krupinski.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl Lynne (Badaracco) Krupinski, of Girard; whom he married May 6, 1977. They spent their life together raising their children, working on the house, and traveling the Caribbean; He was a loving father to son Christopher D. Krupinski (and Bethany) of Amherst, NY; daughter Jennifer J. Webb (and Zachary) of East Springfield; and son Joseph “Jay” Krupinski of Erie; adored grandfather of Travis, Leigh, Noah & Hannah; and Alyssa, Abby, Cameron, Cohen & Caden; and beloved great granddaughter Zella. He is also survived by cherished brother John J. Krupinski of Erie, mother in law Joyce Badaracco of East Springfield, and in-laws John Badaracco of Ojai, CA; Randy Badaracco (and Carol) of Tuscon, AZ; Tammy Nolan (and John) of Erie, and several nieces and nephews including special niece Julia Nolan of Erie.
Friends may call on Monday, December 3 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street, East, Girard and are invited to attend a service there in the All Faith’s Chapel on Tuesday, December 4 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, Joe asks that you please make a donation to your favorite animal shelter.
May he always be remembered by his favorite sayings “Anything worth doing is worth doing in excess” and “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened”.
