Joseph Demichele

Joseph Ralph DeMichele, age 82, was called home on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Joe was born on December 11, 1937 and died peacefully in his sleep after a brief illness. He worked at Firch Baking Company for over 15 years and General Electric for over 20 years until retiring in 2001. Joe enjoyed researching history and fun facts on the computer, jeopardy, crossword puzzles, and the occasional milk chocolate candy bar. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Delores, and his children, David & Patty DeMichele, Kirk DeMichele/Barb Brabender and Korin Giles/Dale Evanoff; his grandchildren, Nicole & Scott Drozeski, Amanda & Shawn Klyber, Bryan DeMichele, Connor & Alisha DeMichele, Samantha Giles, and Jack Giles. Joe’s great-grandchildren, include: Hailey Shade, Hannah Shade, Vincent Drozeski, Wyatt Drozeski, Abbi DeMichele, Kaiden DeMichele, Sylas Klyber and Audrey Klyber; and his great, great grandson Leland Shade. Joe is also survived by his sister, Nancy Day, step-brother David Extein and step-sister Carol (Will) Molberg. 

Memorials may be sent to the family in care of Burton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be delayed because of COVID, but will include a memorial service and celebration of life picnic at a future date. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie.
