Joseph C. Blasco

Joseph C.  Blasco, age 96, passed away on Thursday May 9, 2024, at LECOM Senior Living.

He was born in Lowville, PA on June 16, 1932, the son of the late Joseph and Henrietta Moleski Blasco.

Joseph was a graduate of Wattsburg Area High School. He was an engineer and had worked at Pennsylvania Rail Road and Norfolk Southern for many years.  He also worked in law enforcement in Erie County, the family business, Blasco’s Berry Farm and worked as an independent insurance agent for many years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member of Union City Lodge No.366, F. & A.M., Erie Consistory / Scottish Rite Valley of Erie, and the Zem Zem Temple Shrine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Blasco and sons, Joseph Blasco, Jr and Mark Blasco.

He is survived by his sons, Kingsley Blasco (Sue) and Jeffrey Blasco (Jacqueline); a daughter, Robin Orr (David); 9 grandchildren, Alexis Hurley (Kevin), Nathan Blasco (Brandy), Erin “Tweeters” Harmer (Terry), Tim Blasco (Erinn), Michelle Crawford (Daniel), Hannah Michaels (Nick), Paul Orr (Kaylee), Felicity Groves (Kyle) and Bobby Orr (Kailyn); 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 2:00pm until the time of service at 4:00pm, including a Masonic Service.  Burial will be in Girard Cemetery at a later date.
