Joseph Biondi

Joseph A. Biondi, 69, of Erie, died Sat., Dec. 10, 2011 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born July 13, 1942 in Erie, son of the late Joseph P. and Florence T. Szymczak Biondi.
He graduated in 1960 from Cathedral Prep and studied accounting at Gannon University.
Mr. Biondi worked for Marine National Bank for 12 years. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for over 40 years, the last 30 of which he served as store manager at various locations, the most recent being the Cranberry Twp., Freedom Rd. store. Since his retirement in 2009, he assisted his son in the operation of "Digital Thunder Mobile D.J."
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Siebenbuerger and Sunflower clubs and a former member of the Erie Zukor Club and the Cranberry Elks Club, Lodge No. 2249.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sharon Dale Biondi; two sons, Joseph Alan Biondi of Erie and Gerald C. Biondi, Esq. of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Michael A. Biondi and wife Diane of Cicero, NY and Dennis P. Biondi and wife Barbara of Cocoa, FL; an aunt, Irene Constantino of Erie; two uncles, Leonard Mroczkowski and Philip Biondi and wife Marge, all of Erie; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was also the beloved grandfather of Ryan and Jason Biondi of Erie.
An infant sister, Shirley Ann Biondi, preceded him in death.
Friends may call Wednesday 3 to 7 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street, Erie. A Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 10:15 a.m. followed at 11 by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church, 2701 East Avenue. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
