Joseph F. “Joe” Biondi, age 58, of Millcreek, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at his residence, following a lengthy illness.
Joe was born in Erie, on July 21, 1959, son of the late John and Helen (Jaworski) Biondi. He proudlyserved in the U. S. Army. Afterwards he worked as a butcher in Houston, Texas and later as a machinist for Lukjan in Ohio. Before his illness became severe he enjoyed boating and cruising around Lake Erie and barbecuing steaks on his beloved boat “Scrapper” while spending time with family, friends and especially spending time playing with his beloved companion, Max.
Joe is survived by his wife Diane Biondi, his son Joe Biondi Jr., both of Erie, his daughter Rebeccah Polk of Austin, Texas, his daughter Carrie Eakin, Bit Beeler whom Joe loved as a daughter and two sisters Judy Thompson and her husband Bill of Lake Hills, Texas and Cindy Gentile-Corley and her husband Ed of Trinity, Florida. A sister-in-law Linda Jameson and husband Rob of Lago Vista, Texas, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many in-laws nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Joe’s wife would like to express a special thanks and heartfelt gratitude to her son Joe Jr, his girlfriend Gia Marucci, Bit Beeler, Max and all the neighborhood kids who helped care for, spent time with and ran errands for Joe and listened to Joe’s stories. They surrounded Joe with their love, respect, admiration and attention the last few months.
Per Joe’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street Erie, PA 16506. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the Burton Westlake Funeral Home.
