Joseph Ardys

Joseph J. Ardys, age 93, of Fairview, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. Vincent Health Center.

He was born in Utena, Lithuania, on February 2, 1923 a son of the late Antanas and Anele Opanskis Ardys.

Joseph graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1955. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for General Electric for over 45 years. Joseph enjoyed traveling, reading and following politics.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister; and a grandson, Kovas Juska.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Reda M. Valteris Ardys; three daughters: Rasa M. Juska and her husband Joseph of Manasquan, NJ, Reda Pliura and her husband Ramas of Racine,WI. And Indre A. Howell and her husband, Ted of Stow, OH. He is further survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Jakubs Funeral Home, 936 E 185th St, Cleveland, OH 44119 on Friday from 4-7 pm and are invited to attend a funeral mass on Saturday at 10 am at St. Casimer Church18022 Neff Rd, Cleveland, OH 44119.
