Joseph D. Althof age 22, of Millcreek, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023.
He was born in Erie on October 19, 2000, the son of Eric and Michele Burton Althof of Millcreek.
Joe graduated from McDowell High School where he played lacrosse. He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan and played travel hockey for multiple teams in the area.
He was a very kind and compassionate person who was liked by everyone. He was very outgoing and had many close friends, especially the close brotherhood he had with his hockey and lacrosse teammates. He was very inspirational and always rooted for the little guy and showed these traits while coaching kids’ lacrosse in Millcreek. Joe loved spending time with his family and had a special close bond with his dad.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nancy and Robert Althof and an uncle, Bobby Althof, Jr.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin sisters, Savanna and Madison Althof; grandparents, Chad and Brenda Burton; uncles, Michael Burton (Amanda) and Ashly Althof (Linda); aunts, Susan Althof and Cheryl Althof; his girlfriend, Madeline Lancaster and many cousins with which he was very close.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th Street on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery,
