Jose H. Ortez

Jose H. Ortez, age 66, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, after a short illness.

He was born on December 20, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Felicita Ortiz.

Jose enjoyed listening to classic rock and going fishing. He was a diehard Cleveland fan, always cheering on the Browns and Indians. He loved spending time with his cat, Billy.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his girlfriend of 20 years, Mary Jo Wisniewski, this past September.

He will be missed by his children, Rachael Cooper, Kayla Ortez, Felicia Ortez, Maria Ortez and Jason Fries; sister, Lisa Caraballo and grandchildren, Alivia Smith, Caleb Smith and Hayle Sorenson.
