Jonathan “JL” Long, age 35, of Erie, passed away on December 14, 2024. He was born on April 29, 1989, to John Long and Darcie Vommero.
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 274. JL loved riding motorcycles, and he was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. As his oldest would say, “He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loving every day”.
JL is survived by his wife, Cortnie Long; 3 sons, Joe, Abel and Noah Long; mother, Darcie Vommero; mother-in-law, Becky Prenatt, sister-in-law, Kelsey (Jacob) Guianen, Sam (Malcom) Schirra; his cousin (like a sister), Tiffany Sedor (Colin) Seth; cousins, Ryan (Jesica) Ford and Heather Ford; niece, Aubrie; two nephews, Thomas and Oliver; aunts, Robin (John) Sedor, Heidi (Mike) Ford, Patricia Ramos-Long, Theresa (Alvaro) Walle, Brenda (Mike) Krukemeier, Chris (David) Eckenrod, and Melissa Jacobs; his grandparents-in-law, Carol and Allen Frantz and many other loving family members and friends.
JL is preceded in death by his father, John L. Long (10-15-2009) and maternal grandparents, Richard J. Vommero (1-11-2008) and Anna L. Vommero (12-8-2024).
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd. Erie PA, 16510 on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and are invited to attend a prayer service at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cortnie Long and her children.
