Jonathan “Jon” Cree, age 71, of Erie, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025.
He was born in Altoona, Pa on January 3, 1954, a son of the late Mary Louella Neason and Donald Maxwell Cree. Jon was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School. He attended the University of Cincinnati, Mercyhurst University and graduated from Gannon University.
He had been employed as a chemist with the Lord Corporation for 30 years. Jon enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and hiking. Jon took great pride in his yard and garden. His love and respect for the outdoors was instilled in his children. A true Pittsburgh fan and cheerleader at his children and grandchildren’s baseball and basketball games. The word pride does not come close to describe his love for his children and grandchildren. They and everyone who knew him will remember him as a kind and caring man.
Jon is survived by his wife Analee Doehrel Cree and his children; Justin Cree (Caitlin), Mariah Loutzenhiser (Joshua), and Amy Alberico (Carl); his 9 grandchildren; Macy, Raelyn, Kindra and Charlee Loutzenhiser, Lilian Lesh, Emma, Madeline and Dominic Alberico and Kyleigh Cree. He is further survived by his siblings; Don Cree (Pat), Mark Cree (Missy), Beverly Petruso and Shelley Winnett, as well as many nieces and nephews.
