On Monday, November 1, 2021, John Tecza, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully with family by his side.
John was born and raised in McKean PA on February 16, 1948. He is the son of the late Stanley Tecza and Nellie Benecki Tecza.
Raised with strong work ethic, John worked incredibly hard his entire life. He worked for Zurn Industries, St. Francis Ushers Club, Riley-Stoker, and for the past 24 years at Parker Lord. He was a lifetime member at St Francis Ushers Club. His joys came from mowing his yard on his Cub Cadet, his rose bushes and his his family, especially his grand kids. He took every chance he could to be “Papa,” visiting his grand kids and kids in North Carolina or having them up to visit. John was known for his kindness, compassion, and willingness to be there for anyone who needed him.
John was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Nicole Tecza Radosevic; father, Stanley Tecza; mother, Nellie Benecki Tecza; three sisters; Theresa Mitchell, Maggie Hushon, and Pauline Draszkiewicz; two brothers; Stanley Paszko and Edward Paszko, in-laws; Wilford McLaughlin and Betty McLaughlin, and brother-in-law; Michael McLaughlin.
Survivors include loving wife, Robin Tecza, sons; Jaime Tecza (Cathy), Scott Radosevic (Karen), and Michael Tecza; grandchildren, Lucas, Zach, Emmie, Nicole, Benjamin, Carmen and Emma; brothers; Theodore Tecza (Judy), Walter Tecza (Patty), twin brother Vincent Tecza (Debi), Joseph Tecza (Bonnie); sisters, Rose Donahue (Herbert), Helen Fik, Mary Buren (Denny), brothers-in-law; Rick McLaughlin (Deborah), Timothy McLaughlin, sisters-in-law; Leanne Lemock (Elmer), Lori Cardenas, Kathy Woomer (Cleve) and many loved nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Funeral Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barber National Institute, 100 Barber Pl., Erie, PA 16507 or to the Ronald McDonald House of Western NY, 780 West Ferry St., Buffalo, NY 14222.
