John Morris

John C. Morris, age 85, of Erie, passed away at UPMC Hamot Hospital. He was born in Bristol, England on January 22, 1937, a son of the late Charles Henry & Millicent Andrews Morris.

While living in England, John worked for Rolls-Royce in the experimental jet aircraft engine department. He worked on many United States and English warplanes, and the BAC/Sud Aviation 002 Concorde. After moving to the U.S., John worked as a tool and die maker for over 40 years. He enjoyed reading and watching sports including cricket, soccer and was an avid Steelers fan.

John is survived by his son, Stephen (Deborah) Morris, of NC, and Ian Morris, of Erie; two grandsons, Andrew (Marga) Morris and Colin Morris; and his siblings, Stanley Morris, of CA, and Hilary Tooze, of England. He is further survived by two nieces, Tracey Hackwith and Michelle Todd.
