John Loomis

 John J. Loomis, age 56, of Erie, passed away Friday February 9, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center.

He was born on November 19, 1961 in Union City, a son of Frederick H. and Kay Nicholson Loomis.

John enlisted in the U.S Navy.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially cooking.  John was a Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved dearly his three dogs, Bruiser, Grendl, and Saphira.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his soul mate of 25 years, Donna Graf; a daughter, Crystal Vera  (Craig Kalkhof) of Sheffield, Pa, a brother, David Loomis and his wife Joyce of McKean, a sister, Tonya Wells and her husband, John of Summerville, Pa;  and two grandchildren, Jasmine and Micah Vera.  He is further survived by a niece Melissa Struchen, and nephews, Joseph Orsefski, Christopher, and Andrew Phillips.

Friends may call on the family from 2:00-5:00 P.M.  Saturday, February 17^th at Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26^th St. (at Powell Ave.).
