John Keck

John Patrick Keck age 23, of Millcreek, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at UPMC Hamot, the result of an auto accident last May.

He was born in Erie on May 7, 1990 the beloved son of Anthony J. and Marie A. Nicol Keck of Millcreek.

He graduated from McDowell High School and was attending Edinboro University where he was majoring in Speech Language Pathology.

John loved weightlifting, golf and playing video games. He had a great sense of humor and was a big animal lover.

He is preceded in death by a grandfather Arthur J. Keck.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters; Christina Keck and her husband Steven Strelick of Pittsburgh; Andrea Keck and her husband Jonathan Meyn also of Pittsburgh; and Michelle Keck of Edinboro; two grandmothers, Marian Keck and Diane Knapp both of Buffalo; two nieces, Samantha and Addison; a nephew, Dylan; and his girlfriend, Ashlie Christy. He is further survived by many, many friends.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 W. 6th St. at 11:00 a.m. with the Very Rev. John J. Detisch, V.F. officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
